Multiple external hard drives - and their many, many power supplies!!!

I have 15 external hard drives, and 15 power supplies. I'd like to consolidate the 15 power supplies into one power supply that powers all the drives. The power supplies (each) take 120v and convert it into 12v 2amps.

Which is safer and more efficient?

1.) Could just use a pc power supply and splice the power adapter onto the wires?

2.) Could I find one (two, or maybe three) power adapters that supply 12v and multiply the amps for each drive?
